Peyriac de Mer

Don't be fooled by its name, Peyriac-de-Mer is not a seaside village. The Mediterranean is close by as the crow flies!) but the water around the village is that of the lagoon. It is a calm, soothing spot inhabited by pink flamingos and wild ducks and birds all year round. You’ll fall in love with the pretty village built around a charming square where you can sit in the sunshine outside restaurants and cafés, just a stone's throw from the town hall and the church! The area around the town has some great vineyards and wineries, many of which are organic.

Bages

Situated a stone's throw from Narbonne, the village of Bages seems to emerge from the lagoon like the prow of a ship. In fact, this rocky outcrop is where you can enjoy one of the finest views of the Bages-Sigean lagoon. At the foot of the village, you can get a feel for the "fishing port" atmosphere, with charming moored boats and fishing nets drying in the sun. A small climb up to the heart of the village will reward you with a picturesque square and fountain, surrounded by restaurants, narrow streets and panoramic views of the lagoon.

La Nautique

This is a small marina and sailing school located on the Bages lagoon just south of Narbonne. Services: The SNN runs a sailing and surf school that is well-regarded for being friendly and well-equipped. It is also a good place for renting windsurfing equipment. Location: The marina is situated on the tranquil Étang de Bages, which offers ideal conditions for windsurfing, canoeing, or paddleboating. Vibe: Visitors describe it as having a great atmosphere, especially the adjacent "Bistrot la Nautique," which offers waterside dining with a view of the marina.

Duilhac-sous-Peyrepeteuse

Port la Nouvelle

Port-La Nouvelle is a village on the Mediterranean coast, 30 kilometres south of Narbonne. As its name suggests, it is a newish municipality that has developed around the port and trade. Port-La Nouvelle is also a family seaside resort offering the typical seaside activities: swimming and sunbathing, games on the beach, lunch on the terrace of a restaurant. The Canal de la Robine flows into the sea through Port-La Nouvelle.
