Port la Nouvelle
Port-La Nouvelle is a village on the Mediterranean coast, 30 kilometres south of Narbonne. As its name suggests, it is a newish municipality that has developed around the port and trade. Port-La Nouvelle is also a family seaside resort offering the typical seaside activities: swimming and sunbathing, games on the beach, lunch on the terrace of a restaurant. The Canal de la Robine flows into the sea through Port-La Nouvelle.
Port-La Nouvelle has a huge sandy beach stretching for nearly 10 km, against the backdrop of the Leucate cliffs and the Corbières vineyards. Any time of year is a great time for strolling along the waterfront and admiring the comings and goings of pleasure boats, fishermen and international cargo ships. Port-La Nouvelle is the third largest port in the French Mediterranean (for trade)!
